How to get rid of the raised marks left by mole removal on the face

It’s been quite a while, but after having a mole removed, the skin in just one spot on my face became noticeably raised. I didn't think much of it at first, but it seems to be getting bigger little by little, so I’m wondering if I should have it removed again. Since it matches my skin tone, I’ve been leaving it alone, but sometimes it does get sensitive. I know this is considered a skin side effect, but I’m worried if it will be effective or if I might accidentally leave a bigger scar if I touch it.
