Are there any products that are effective for stretch mark scars?

I gained weight rapidly during puberty and developed stretch marks on my calves.

My skin is on the fairer side, so I lived with it without really noticing, but as I get older, it seems my skin is aging too. It is gradually turning yellowish, and the stretch marks are becoming more prominent.

There is also the option to lighten it with a laser, but it requires multiple sessions, and the price is a bit of a burden.

I was thinking of buying a stretch mark cream, but looking at the reviews, there are many saying it doesn't work.

Are there any ointments or creams that might be effective?
