Is it true that acne spot patches cannot be used for scar management?

Hello! I am writing this post to share my concerns regarding skin marks and scars. I have combination skin that is prone to breakouts like acne and pimples. Previously, I used acne spot patches to manage marks left after breakouts or squeezing them, but I haven't seen any results for scar management. Often, after applying and removing the patches, the wounds don't heal properly, get infected, or leave larger scars. So, at some point, I stopped using patches and just started managing my scars with products containing Cica and Madecassoside. If anyone has shared similar concerns, please share the correct way to use patches or recommend some patch products!
