I have become very interested in skincare lately, so I am looking into sunscreens. I am wondering about the difference between mineral and chemical sunscreens and which one would be a better fit for me.
I have suffered from sensitive skin since I was young. I had severe acne, and my skin would turn red immediately if I used even slightly irritating products. Because of this, choosing cosmetics has always been difficult.
It was especially the case with sunscreen. I tried it a few times, but it made my skin greasy and felt heavy, so I ended up giving up.
I looked it up online and found out about mineral and chemical sunscreens. I heard that mineral sunscreens are less irritating to the skin and offer immediate protection, but I'm concerned about the white cast they leave. I have to wear makeup to work every day, so I'm worried about the product not adhering well to the skin.
On the other hand, I hear that organic sunscreens spread well and don't leave a white cast, making them comfortable to apply. However, I'm worried because I heard that they contain chemical ingredients and could cause skin irritation. Will they really be okay for my sensitive skin?
I've been agonizing over this for days now just trying to choose a sunscreen. Am I being too sensitive?
