It's okay to apply sunscreen over a pimple, right?

I got an unpleasant pimple..

I'm using a sun stick...

It seems like the sides are turning a bit red too, but I can't just skip sunscreen.

They say you have to wash your face thoroughly after using sunscreen...

How do you all handle sun care when you get pimples?
