When throwing away cosmetics

When I throw away cosmetics, I just

I tend to throw plastic in the plastic bin, but

You know, there is also some product left inside the cosmetics.

Is it okay to just leave things like that and throw them in the plastic bin?

Or should I throw it all in the general trash?



How should I handle things like recycling?

I am asking because I am curious if this might be of even the slightest help to the environment!!
