What creams are effective for melasma?

My melasma seems to be getting darker lately. I'm not considering any dermatological procedures, but are there any products that would be effective if applied consistently?

My dream is to have beautiful skin, but I've been neglecting my care lately, so freckles and blemishes are starting to appear.

There probably isn't a cream that erases blemishes, right?
