How to get rid of acne scars.

My high school student said they weren't getting acne, but they couldn't stand the few pimples that popped up and kept squeezing them, so now they have scars on their face.

I wasn't even the type to get a lot of acne, but I touched it and it ended up getting worse.

Is visiting a dermatologist the only way to get rid of scars?

I keep seeing a few more, so please recommend some ointments or cosmetics that are good for acne.

Is there an ointment that can also resolve acne scars?
