Can I pop a pimple?

I occasionally get large pimples on my face. They are big, so leaving them alone bothers me, but if I squeeze them, they don't all come out at once and bleed. Should I refrain from squeezing them? I am also worried about scarring and leaving marks. I am waiting for advice from experts. Please let me know.
