Do you have any tips for curling your eyelashes naturally?

There are a lot of eyelash curlers being featured in Unpa events, but I find it difficult to use one. My lashes either bend or my eyelids get pinched, haha. So I got an eyelash perm, but it has almost completely worn off, so I'm debating whether to just use a curler or get a perm again.

How do those of you who are good at using eyelash curlers do it?
