Do you have any eye makeup tips?

I'm an aspiring makeup artist who wants to be good at eye makeup but isn't very good at it. The biggest concern when doing eye makeup is smudging, right? I've been using a cotton swab to touch up because I heard it works well, but I still don't feel like my makeup applies perfectly. If you have any tips, I think it would be great if you could share one; it would be helpful for both of us. My tip is that using a cotton swab for touch-ups is effective!
