A must-have item for pore-tight skin that stays flawless even in the middle of summer
I have large pores and my skin becomes extremely oily every summer. As a result, as time passes, oil rises to the surface, causing my base makeup to break down easily and accumulate in the pores on my nose, making it look messy.
So, the parts I focus on most in my base makeup are pore coverage and oil control. The products I mainly use for these two things are Benefit Porefessional and Clinique Pore Refining Solution Instant Perfector. Since so many people use Porefessional and there are already plenty of posts about it on Unpa, I decided to write this post hoping you would get to know about the Clinique one as well.
Just like Porefessional, Clinique Instant Perfector is a skin-colored pore primer that covers uneven skin texture, such as pores and fine lines. It also spreads well evenly with a small amount and leaves the skin feeling soft and matte, just like Porefessional.
Instant Perfector has a slightly darker color and a slightly thicker texture than Porefessional, so it feels a bit more matte. Because of this, Clinique seems to cover the deep pores on the nose a little better. However, Porefessional is better for small, widely distributed pores. On days when I put extra effort into my makeup, I sometimes apply Clinique to my nose and Benefit to my cheeks and forehead, separating the colors.
Honestly, for someone like me with large pores and excessive oiliness, keeping makeup lasting 24 hours? It’s hard, haha. But if you apply a pore primer thoroughly like this, the makeup lasts much longer, and even if your base wears off, it prevents it from settling into the pores and looking messy.
Anyway, while Benefit Porefessional is very good, I would like to recommend Clinique Instant Perfector to those concerned about deep pores, as it is also great. :)
