I used to use interdental brushes only occasionally after brushing my teeth, rather than every day. However, after a scaling at the dentist's office, I heard that I should use dental floss or interdental brushes daily. Since that day, I have been using them every day after brushing because they are more convenient than dental floss. I think dental care becomes more important as you get older.
