My Own Purchased Oral Care - A Reliable Oral Care Guardian
The importance of oral care cannot be overemphasized.
If you manage it leisurely as usual without paying attention, your gums will recede and periodontitis will develop with aging.
If you do that, you have to treat the cavity and then fill that part again, so you have to get resin or a crown again.
Even at this stage, hundreds of thousands of won just fly out for a single tooth.
If you end up needing dental implants, not only will your monthly living expenses vanish in an instant, but your bank account will become completely empty in no time.
It was only after going through the incidents mentioned above in sequence that I realized how important regular care is, and I began to introduce various methods for oral care in addition to brushing my teeth.
Among those, I highly recommend using interdental brushes.
Sometimes I reflect on whether I am being too complacent with my brushing, relying solely on interdental brushes. However, since I feel that brushing is only complete after using an interdental brush, I would like to introduce the one I currently use.
The one I am currently using is a Japanese product.
This is a private brand product released by the large pharmacy chain Matsumoto Kiyoshi.
They are available in various sizes, and the standard pack contains 15 pieces with a carrying case, making them excellent value for money.
The price range is under 3,000 won; at the current exchange rate, it would be around the low 2,000 won range.
Even though they are divided by size, there isn't a huge difference; perhaps because my gums are already quite separated, I don't really like the ones that are too thin, so the orange 1.0mm size fit me perfectly.
The size is just right and it is smooth, so it is good for using in a straight line, and for molars, it is also good for bending to use in a curved shape.
I heard that it is good to change them frequently for hygiene, so I buy them in bulk when I go.
There are many good Korean products, but as expected, they aren't that cheap.
Of course, I use interdental brushes in addition to my basic brushing, and I use dental floss and mouthwash when necessary. I make sure never to skip the interdental brush, above all else.
If I skip brushing my interdental teeth, I feel really uneasy and like I haven't brushed my teeth properly.
And although it is embarrassing to admit, I recently learned something: when I bent an interdental brush to use it, I used to bend the wire part, but apparently, doing so causes the wire to break easily, so you are supposed to bend the body part instead.
That was the most shocking news I've heard recently, haha.
It’s a bad habit I’ve been accustomed to for years, so I need to fix it right away.

Interdental brushes are very suitable for those undergoing prosthetic or orthodontic treatment, so I encourage those who fall into this category to actively use them.
I hope you all take good care of your health so that you can live with your own teeth until the age of 80, just like in the "2080" toothpaste commercial.
