My nails are soft and prone to cutting the surrounding skin. I happened to try the small scissors and trimming tools used for babies' nails, and after seeing how delicately they trimmed, I used them whenever I needed to slightly trim the tips. The snips were useful for trimming split ends. I think you should just use the products that suit your individual needs.
