I think silver glitter looks the coolest in the summer, so I apply the glitter first and then a glossy top coat over it. I do apply the glitter because I like the color, but honestly, I'm not very good at applying it, so it doesn't really show haha. If you're a nail polish beginner, this is great because you can just apply it haphazardly without it looking too rough. Even if it chips a little, you don't have to remove it; you can just put the glitter back on and it will look neat again.
