Pedicure on the big toe

Is it possible to get a pedicure on a foot with a slight fungal infection on the big toe?

I had athlete's foot on my big toenail quite a long time ago. I cured it after taking medication prescribed by a dermatologist for about 9 months.

I'm naturally lazy and have peanut-shaped nails, so nail polish doesn't suit me well; I can count on one hand the number of times I've actually worn it.

When I had athlete's foot on my big toenail, I once thought about applying nail polish (that is how the term 'nail polish' was commonly used back then) to cover it up, but since I am not the type to dress up, I never actually did.
