Is it okay to do gel nails myself?

I'm not very good with my hands, so I've always gotten my gel nails done at a nail salon.

But looking at the posts here, maybe because the products these days are so good...

I think there isn't much difference between DIY gel nails and those done at a nail salon.

Would you recommend DIY gel nails?

Also, please introduce any good products you know of.
