When fingernails or toenails are cracked

I bought this because I got my toenail caught on a door and the surface felt rough and bumpy. I applied it frequently at first and saw results, but I've been lazy... and it's been a really long time since I last used it. While my toenails have likely improved naturally over time, I definitely felt it was effective when I applied it diligently in the beginning.

The scent is like scorched rice candy, so it isn't off-putting, and it doesn't take as long to dry as nail polish; it seems to dry relatively quickly.
