Can I get gel nails over regular nail polish?

Can I apply top gel over regular nail polish and cure it?

Gel nails are too expensive, and they don't have the colors I want.

I only want to buy one or two, but buying them all at once is a hassle.

You can just apply top gel to regular nail polish you have at home and cure it.

Will it last a long time, similar to gel nails?
