Am I the only one who feels embarrassed when getting a pedicure?

I only get pedicures in the summer.

I get it done at my regular salon, but even if I wash thoroughly beforehand, they can't completely clean the dirt under my toenails.

When the shop assistant fixes things up, I feel awkward and apologetic for no reason.

So when I apologize, they say it's their business and it's fine. Am I the only one who feels this way?

No matter how thoroughly I wash it, it doesn't measure up to a professional's touch.
