Cuticle condition after getting my nails done

I got my nails done at the nail salon in front of my house, and less than a week later, my cuticles are growing back like this.

My nails look like they haven't been taken care of... Is it just me?

I don't know if the shop isn't doing a good job or if there's something wrong with my hands.

Since this keeps happening, I feel like it's a waste of money.
