Gel nails

I'm getting gel nails at the nail salon, and my nails are getting too thin.

My nails keep splitting horizontally, so now if I don't get them done, my hands hurt, but if I keep doing them, I'm worried about my nail health.

Do you continue getting gel nails even though your nails have become this thin and tear?

Please recommend some good oils or supplements for strengthening brittle nails.
