First, lightly apply it to the skin around the edges of your nails. Once it dries, apply the nail polish, and then peel off the transparent helper to see the polish neatly applied only to your nails. It is white when applied, but turns transparent after drying. It is a great item that prevents nail polish from overflowing onto the sides of your nails in the first place.
