Reason for purchase

I have been consistently using retinol products and they have been working well! However, a few days ago, I learned about Retinal, which is said to be more effective than retinol for elasticity and wrinkle improvement..! I was curious about the similarities and differences between retinol and Retinal, which have similar names, so I looked it up. It turns out you can think of 'Retinal' as an upgraded version of retinol. Apparently, when retinol is absorbed, it requires a transformation process like this: Retinol > Retinal > Retinoic Acid. So, using Retinal instead of retinol simplifies this process, making it even more beneficial for the skin!

Now that I know this, I've become curious about Dr. Different Retinal Cream, the best retinal product currently on the market!!

It is 20g, but since it is an Olive Young special edition product, I got an additional 5g thanks to the free gift, and I also received 3g of Cica Metal Cream.

🤍 Formula

It is a translucent yellow color with a non-sticky, firm, and moisturizing texture. The opening is narrow, so it looks like it will be very thick when dispensed, but it is soft and absorbs quickly via liposomes (a phospholipid bilayer that passes through biological membranes rapidly).

I only squeeze out a pea-sized amount and apply it. It absorbs quickly and keeps the skin feeling firm and tight after application, which helps reduce pore size. I also liked that it reduced nasolabial folds and skin unevenness! It seems to provide more definite skin improvement than retinol. Since Vitamin A requires attention to UV protection, I use it at night and make sure to apply sunscreen in the morning.
