It contains acerola, so it supplies vitamins, improves skin condition, and acts as an antioxidant.

I bought and applied this because it claimed to prevent hyperpigmentation for melasma and blemishes without laser treatment. My skin got a bit whiter, but it still had no effect on the melasma or blemishes. It seems to have a brightening effect, though.
