Is the YouTube ad for dark spot cream real?

I see so many ads for dark spot creams on YouTube these days, and I'm curious if they really work. The ads claim that dark spots disappear completely in a short period of time, but honestly, I'm hesitant to believe them. In the ads, they actually peel off the dark spots.

I assume it depends on skin type and the condition of your blemishes, so I am curious to hear from those who have actually used it. I am also worried that I might end up spending a lot of money on it only to find it ineffective. I would appreciate answers from those with experience regarding whether there are noticeable changes like in the advertisements, or if consistent use is required for gradual improvement.
