Could scrubbing off dead skin also damage the skin barrier?
I went to the bathhouse a few days ago.
It hasn't even been two weeks since I got a body scrub...
My back hurts and my shoulders feel like they're going to collapse...
I thought it would be better to just soak in hot water instead of going to physical therapy that day. Usually, it makes it much better.
Even though I had just had a body scrub... maybe because I've been using hot packs a lot lately... or maybe because my skin softened a bit while soaking in the bath... when I scrubbed gently, some dirt started coming off again ^^;;; Well... there wasn't much, so that's fine... but as I was wiping, my neck suddenly started itching. Since I was just rubbing with a towel without thinking much about it, my hand just went to my neck;; It was itchy, so I rubbed it gently and it got better right away.
But... when I came out after finishing everything... my neck was slightly red?
I just accepted it and left it at that...
It doesn't show well in the photo... but even after two days... the sides of my neck feel a bit rough and bumpy? It doesn't look like anything has broken out, but it feels like an eruption;;; even after applying soothing cream;;; It's not enough for others to notice... but since it still feels that way to the touch, I'm the only one who's bothered by it;; I have a feeling it'll take a few more days;;;
Could just scrubbing off dead skin like this really break down the skin barrier? This is the first time I've ever experienced something like this. What should I apply? Hmm...
