Department store lipsticks vs. Olive Young lipsticks with a similar vibe

 

 

-Introduction to Comparison Products-

This is a review of two similar-colored products that I, an autumn warm-toned person, use daily as a point lip on the inner part of my lips!

MAC's PowderKiss lipstick 'Devoted to Chili' and

I compared the Rainbow Mansion Moodwear Blur Lipstick in the 'Prime' color.

Both have very similar color tones and a matte texture that adheres perfectly, so I always felt they were quite similar whenever I used them!

On the left is Mac Devoted to Chili and on the right is Prime from Rainbow Mansion.

As the saying goes, "there are no two identical shades under the sun." It looks really similar when applied to the lips, but when swatched on the wrist, it looks different.

I noticed there were subtle differences, haha. Both are slightly toned-down reds with a chili tint, but MAC's Depoted to Chili has a bit more saturation and brightness, whereas Rainbow Mansion's Prime color has similar saturation but is darker than MAC's!

 

-Texture-

In terms of texture, MAC Powder Kiss is a more moisturizing type of matte, while Rainbow Mansion is a soft matte that adheres better with almost no moisturizing feel, so personally, I prefer that texture a little more. If you want a chili red matte lipstick that feels less stuffy, I think you should go with MAC, but if you prefer a matte without visible shine, I think you should choose Rainbow Mansion!

 

 

The top photo is Powder Kiss, and the bottom photo is Mood Wear Blur lipstick.

I applied it to my lips, and the difference in color and texture is clearly visible!

As for the colors, Depoted to Chili looks more vibrant than I expected, while Prime looks deeper, right?

The feel changes depending on the blending, so I enjoy using both colors!

 

When I used both products individually, I thought, "Oh, they're similar," so I compared them, but upon closer inspection, there were slight differences.

It actually feels fresh, haha. Since there are subtle differences, I think you can just choose the Chili Red that you prefer!!
