Cold water friction while showering;;

I turned on the shower and thought I had set the water temperature, but
Suddenly, cold water gushed out, so I stopped for a moment.
Oh my god... I couldn't even make a sound, I just froze.

Then it got warm again, so I thought it was fine and took a shower, but now I'm worried the boiler might be broken.
