Even a foot warmer is of no use today

Since yesterday was a holiday, the office was empty all day, and

It is bitterly cold today; even with a foot warmer on, the skin right in front of it feels hot, but my feet don't actually melt.

Will it melt a bit if I fill up on lunch?
