Whenever I apply lip tint, I always get lip dryness and wrinkles

No matter what lip tint or lipstick I use, dead skin cells build up, it keeps settling into my wrinkles, and the color applies messily, making my skin look dirty. Even though I apply a generous amount of Vaseline every night before bed, my skin only feels smooth for a brief moment in the morning before getting dirty again as soon as I apply lip tint. What should I do? It's so stressful.
