How to point out makeup without it being obvious ..

Is there a good way to point out my friend's makeup without making it obvious? I feel so bad for my friend and really want to tell her. I'm usually the type to speak my mind directly and harshly, but since she gets hurt easily, I want to speak to her indirectly. Actually, I spoke a bit harshly to her last time and she got sulky, so I think I need to talk to her in a roundabout way this time.

Anyone can tell she's a warm tone, but my friend is pretending to be a winter cool. No matter how I look at it, she's a spring warm, but ever since she got obsessed with a certain celebrity, she keeps collecting only winter cool cosmetics and clothes.
