Hair wax or spray with good hold

My son said he wants to wear his bangs up, so he [haired] his head

I'm looking for a product to apply... but I need to have one at home, you know.

I saw my younger sibling using hair wax to hold their hair in place...

I'm from the older generation, so it reminded me of spray... Do people not use spray these days?? lol

Please recommend a hair wax with good hold.
