How to use expired eyeshadow?

While cleaning the house, I found a ton of expired eyeshadows.

The color is still pretty, but I feel a bit uneasy using it on my face, so I'm debating if I should just throw it away.

I searched online and saw that some people use it for art, nail art, or as a highlighter. Has anyone actually tried using it?

I'm also curious about how to recycle eyeshadows that have a lot of fallout or are broken. It feels like a waste to just throw them away, but I'm worried about continuing to use them on my skin. Please let me know if you have any great tips on how to safely reuse them at home.
