WakeMake Defining Cover Concealer: A genuine review purchased with my own money
I have acne-prone skin and a lot of blemishes, so concealer is essential for me.
I'm not the type to be very meticulous about my makeup,
Since it doesn't provide 100% coverage, I prefer a liquid concealer that is natural, moisturizing, doesn't cake, and has moderate coverage.
I’d like to introduce a liquid concealer that ranks in my top 3 of all the ones I’ve used so far!
I used the old version when I was using shade #20 Ivory, but the amount decreased when the packaging was renewed.
WakeMake Defining Cover Concealer is
No. 10 Pair
No. 13 Porcelain
No. 15 Light Ivory
No. 20 Ivory
No. 21 Warm Ivory
No. 23 Natural Beige
There are 6 colors like this.
There were originally four types, but seeing that colors keep being added, I wonder if they will be released in more detail... I'm looking forward to it!
(A true gem I've already emptied several bottles of)
I originally used color #20, but I wanted to use a brighter color, so I bought color #10 Pear, and I am satisfied.
It's already a famous item, too.
There used to be a strong contender among liquid concealers that I used to use well, but there was a boycott because a social issue arose regarding that brand or the group it belonged to.
Just then, I saw a recommendation for the Weme concealer and bought and tried it. There wasn't much difference from the concealer I usually use, and it felt like it applied more thinly.
I will also show you a comparison swatch with shade No. 20 Ivory.
I didn't think No. 10 Pear was very pink-toned, but there is definitely a difference next to No. 20 Ivory.
It gets dirty easily so it tends to be on the darker side, but No. 20 Ivory looks a bit darker, doesn't it?
My face is on the whiter side, so I was always disappointed.
The color itself seems to have turned out quite subdued, so I highly recommend testing it out!
It has a smooth texture and is just slightly sticky.
It adheres well even to curved areas, but it is recommended to allow some time for it to set.
They did divide the bases into pink and yellow, but as I felt, the pink base didn't have a strong reddish tint, and the yellow base didn't have a strong yellow tint either.
It is an ivory shade that isn't too skewed toward either pink or yellow, so it offers good coverage while evening out the skin tone well.
It's a stick type, so it's easy to dab on and apply.
Actually, this isn't very hygienic, but I'm too lazy to do anything else, so I just use it like this...
It spreads smoothly when applied, but
The coverage is definitely good.
While makeup base products can't have perfect ingredients, this one contains tea tree leaf extract, making it more comfortable to use.
I also mainly apply it to troubled areas or blemishes, and I have never experienced any worsening or additional breakouts from using concealer.
It doesn't have perfect coverage, but
For me, who prefers natural makeup, this level of coverage was just right.
As shown on the brand's product detail page, applying it thickly would naturally provide good coverage, but we don't usually apply makeup that heavily, do we?
Because I am too lazy, I cannot do things like meticulously covering things with a brush.
Usually, I pat it with a puff, but I'll try covering it with my hands as well.
When I spread it around, the surrounding red areas were also mostly covered.
I like that the ivory color neutralizes redness well and doesn't make the skin look heavy or dull.
Actually, as long as the redness is covered, it’s not bad overall.
Since the color isn't heavy, it is good to use only concealer for base makeup without it feeling thick.
(Portion control is essential!)
For those of you looking for a good value concealer
For those of you looking for Olive Young concealer
For those who need concealers in various colors
I recommend this to those who prefer a concealer that isn't heavy or cakey!
