Amuse Dew Jelly Vegan Cushion Review (Purchased with my own money)
This is the Amuse Dew Jelly Vegan Cushion that I have been using happily since last winter. Just by looking at the name, you can tell it’s going to be moisturizing, and it really does apply with a dewy, transparent finish. As someone who prefers natural-looking skin, I really love using it. My skin is really thin, and on thin skin, even a slightly thick layer of base makeup causes it to cake, settle into fine lines, and look cakey. I guess you could say that the thinner the skin, the thinner the thickness of the base makeup it can handle. However, the Amuse Dew Jelly Vegan Cushion applies thinly and transparently, providing natural tone correction that looks like my own skin, giving me exactly the skin finish I want. That said, this advantage is also a disadvantage. The coverage isn't great. It only provides enough coverage for brightening and evening the skin tone, so blemishes show through; if you want a flawless finish, a concealer is essential. However, I find that letting some blemishes show looks natural, so I don't use concealer and just finish with this cushion alone. Oh, wait, now that summer has arrived, I do finish with powder at the end. I have skin that is slightly lighter than shade 21, but since the Amuse Jelly Cushion has low coverage and applies with a translucent finish, I like that even the lightest shade, No. 1, doesn't look cakey or unnatural, but instead gives a moderately bright tone-up effect. Anyway, if you don't need heavy coverage and are looking for a cushion that applies thinly, doesn't settle into expression lines, and provides a natural, moisturizing look, I recommend giving the Amuse Dew Jelly Vegan Cushion a try :)
