Just like the name 'Black Sugar,' it is an ochre color when squeezed out. When rubbed, it doesn't lather much, but the soap coats the face well to aid in cleansing.

It doesn't feel too tight even after washing my face, so I think it's good to use with my elementary and middle schooler.
