It is a wooden gua sha.
I use gua sha the most to loosen up my tight shoulders and trapezius muscles.
If you just loosen it up without any preparation, my skin gets scraped and it hurts. It doesn't roll off well either.
So, if I apply an oil that can be used together with it, and then use a gua sha to loosen up my tense shoulders and massage my facial contours, the fatigue just melts away. It feels twice as refreshing and relaxing, which is great.
