Reasons why sunscreen causes eye irritation
After applying sunscreen, I found my eyes stinging and burning, especially when playing in the water.
I looked into the reason, and apparently it's because of an ingredient in the sunscreen that causes eye irritation.
Ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate
Niacinamide
Retinol
Sodium laureth sulfate
Phenoxyethanol
If you are experiencing eye irritation, it is recommended to choose a mineral or hybrid sunscreen.
I should check if there are any ingredients that cause eye irritation before purchasing!!
Titanium dioxide and zinc oxide, the main components of inorganic sunscreens, cannot be washed off with water alone.
They say that you need to double cleanse using cleansing oil or cleansing cream to remove sunscreen ingredients remaining on the skin.
Please make sure to double cleanse!
