I can't say I saw a big effect; it seems like it's just for self-satisfaction.

I'm getting an injection for my double chin, and it stings because I was given it without anesthetic cream.

Since I get injected in several places, it hurts a bit, and the areas where I was hit sometimes bruise for a few days.
