Calf Muscle Nerve Block Review (Not a Hospital Recommendation)
I was born with exceptionally well-developed calves.
I received a nerve block from an orthopedic specialist 10 years ago.
The anesthesia was local anesthesia rather than sedation, and the procedure was performed without an incision.
I did it well without feeling scared even in my early 20s (I went for touch-ups 3 times after the procedure).
And then, as the price of this procedure gradually dropped, the doctor opened an orthopedic clinic specializing in geriatrics, so I couldn't get the touch-up. Of course, I have gained weight since then and a lot of time has passed, but my calves haven't returned to their original shape just like before.
However, it doesn't look exactly the same as it did after the procedure. It's only returned to about half of its previous state. What I'm trying to say is that calves really are in the realm of the gods. Legs are parts of the body that need to be used constantly, and there's even a saying that the calves are the "second heart." I think it's dangerous to view them solely from a beauty perspective. (You might think I shouldn't be saying this, given that I've had the procedure done, but...)
I think using calf rings and stretching to lengthen the muscles and keep them from stiff is enough :-)
