The difference between blackheads and whiteheads
Since wearing masks all day causes excessive sweating and a corresponding increase in sebum, many people struggle with pore management. Today, we will take a look at blackheads and whiteheads, which are common concerns for many. Many people are unaware of the difference between the two, so it would be beneficial to understand how they differ and how to manage each type. Bad habits, as well as factors such as drinking and smoking, cause waste to accumulate in the pores, leading to skin troubles; this process results in the formation of blackheads and whiteheads.
blackheads
A blackhead is when sebum inside an open pore turns black upon contact with air because it is not properly expelled.
Whitehead
It refers to a condition where a layer of dead skin cells accumulates on the skin's surface, clogging pores and filling them with sebum in a shape resembling millet seeds. Because they are spread out in small, fine particles, they can also make the skin look rough.
Since blackheads and whiteheads are caused by pore issues, they can only be improved by properly managing the pores.
