Here's a tip for applying lip products~ I use lip brushes a lot these days, but if you apply it with a smudge brush, you can create a natural gradient.
My recommended product is the Espoir Lip Smudge Brush. The Peripera Lip Tint has a thick consistency, but if you dab it onto the center of your lips and spread it with a smudge brush, it looks natural and pretty.
You can even create an over-lip look with just one product.
