When I applied the sunscreen tone-up cream with a spatula, the adherence improved significantly (feat. no white cast).

Is there anyone out there who applies sunscreen or tone-up cream by scooping it out with their fingers? 🙋‍♀️ I used to just squeeze it onto my palm too, but ever since I started using a spatula, it's been a whole new world. I wanted to share this great tip with you today.

First of all, the problem with applying it with your hands is that the moment you squeeze the product onto your palm, half of it gets absorbed into your hands. No matter how carefully you spread it, a surprisingly large amount gets stuck in the creases of your palms and absorbed, so less actually reaches your face than you expect. As a result, you don't get proper UV protection, and it feels like a bit of a waste.

But if you use a spatula to scoop out exactly what you need, the product goes entirely onto your face without getting lost to your hands. It's also much easier to control the amount. The quantity is especially important for sunscreen, you know. To get the effect according to the SPF rating, you have to apply more generously than you think, but using a spatula is great because you can clearly see how much you are controlling.

You can't ignore hygiene either. If you keep putting the product in and out of the container with your hands, bacteria can get in. This is especially true for cream formulations in jars rather than tubes. If you use a spatula, there is no risk of the product getting contaminated, so you can use it hygienically until the very last drop.

It’s not difficult to apply, either. Take an appropriate amount with a spatula and dab it onto five spots: your forehead, both cheeks, nose, and chin. Then, spread it outwards from the inside using your fingers or a sponge. Doing this ensures it spreads evenly across your entire face without clumping in one spot. I’ve found that applying tone-up cream this way prevents a white cast and allows it to adhere naturally. ✨

Lastly, please make sure to wipe or wash the spatula with a wet tissue after use, as bacteria can actually multiply. It is easy to maintain as you just need to rinse it quickly with water and let it dry.
