When using a cushion, if I pressed hard on my face from the start, the makeup often went on thickly in only one area.
In particular, the product tends to pool in the center of the cheeks and next to the nose, making the pores look more prominent, and over time, it feels like it clumps up quite a bit.
So these days, instead of pressing the puff directly onto my face, I dab it on the back of my hand first before using it.
You take the amount on the puff, gently pat it onto the back of your hand to spread it evenly, and then apply it to your face.
By doing this, the product doesn't clump in one place, so the finish goes on much thinner and more naturally.
I felt a really big difference, especially in areas where it gets stuck easily, like around the nose or under the eyes.
In the past, it felt like it would get thick quickly even when I touched up my makeup, but now it stays much cleaner even when I reapply it multiple times.
It reduces the feeling that my skin looks stuffy even when I take photos, so it is one of the methods I use most often these days.
It’s not a particularly special technique, but it’s a habit I keep doing because the difference in the makeup results is so clear.
