Sharing a great tip for making morning makeup last longer
I used to spend a lot of time on my makeup in the morning, but by the afternoon, it would often break down or look cakey. I tried changing my approach, and lately, I’ve found a routine that definitely improves longevity. In the past, I tended to apply thick layers of base products, but that actually made my makeup feel like it was smudging. So now, I keep my skincare routine as light as possible and let it absorb completely before applying makeup. In particular, I found that waiting about five minutes after applying sunscreen before putting on base makeup significantly improves adhesion. Also, lightly spraying a mist onto the puff before patting on a thin layer of cushion foundation made the skin look more natural and seemed to reduce caking. Finally, using a small amount of powder only on oily areas keeps the skin from feeling heavy and improves longevity, so I am very satisfied. It’s just a small change in habits, but it makes a huge difference in the quality of my makeup, so it’s a method I use frequently these days!
Step 1: Apply base lightly and thinly
Step 2: Apply sunscreen and allow a short time for absorption.
Step 3: Apply mist-treated puff to ensure base adherence
Step 4: Powder only the oily areas
