My personal beauty tip for controlling oil first when touching up makeup
My biggest stress was my skin getting oily and my foundation breaking down by the afternoon.
So in the past, I used to apply cushion foundation directly when touching up my makeup, but doing so actually made it look thicker and more heavy, and it felt like it got messier over time.
So I changed my approach and developed a habit of controlling oil first.
First, remove the oil by gently pressing the shiny areas with blotting paper or a tissue.
If you apply it directly without doing this step, the base tends to slide off and clump more easily, and I found that it quickly started to look cakey, especially on areas where a lot of oil comes up, such as around the nose or forehead.
So I felt it was important to organize things first.
Next, use only a small amount of cushion and gently pat only the necessary areas.
In this case, instead of applying a large amount at once, applying thin layers multiple times creates a much more natural look.
If you do this, it doesn't go on thickly, your skin looks much cleaner, and your overall makeup stays neat without looking like it has broken down.
The difference is especially noticeable around the nose and forehead, so I am currently using it secured this way.
It’s just a simple difference in the order, but the results are different, so these days, I find myself always thinking of this method first when I do touch-ups.
