September Olive Young Sale Recommended & Not Recommended Items Review

There was the September Olive Young sale a while ago, right? Since a lot of new department store items were released in September, I kept my purchases modest this time... lol. But I'll review the three products I bought😆

1. Gatsby Oil Blotting Paper Powder Type

This is my holy grail product that I’ve been using for ages. Since it has powder on one side, it controls oiliness much better than other products! The powder applies thinly and evenly, so there is no clumping. My base makeup didn't smudge, and the staying power was great. The price is also affordable, so it’s not a burden at all. If you have oily skin, you definitely have to give it a try! It’s my summer essential that I stock up on whenever it’s on sale 😊

2. Took One by Genuine Magnetic Eyeshadow Palette A05 Cotton Salmon

I recommend the Took eyeshadow palette over the singles! The regular price is 18,500 won, but the quality is excellent. The particles are fine, and the texture is soft and smooth. There was no fallout, and the adherence was good. Honestly, if you get a full set of 6 singles, they cost as much as department store items, so the value for money is poor. At that price, I'd rather just buy a department store product.

They usually release mainly cool-toned colors, but this is a peach color that suits Spring Warm skin tones well. The actual swatch of Cotton Dohwa was cooler than what was shown on the product page, so I bought Cotton Salmon instead, and I am satisfied.

However, since the color is whiter and lighter than it appears on the product page, I recommend it for fair skin tones of shade 21 or lighter. I absolutely do not recommend it for shades 23 and above!!

3. 3CE Blush Lighter Lazy Talk

I don't recommend this item. I should have swatched it in person before buying it..🥲 The shade Lazy Talk is a soft pink. There is no fallout, but it is hard, so the color payoff is poor, and since the color itself isn't intense, it doesn't show up well. I think I'll need to try using a rough brush that can scrape it out vigorously.
