Honest Review of Recommended, So-So, and Not-Recommended Items from the September Olive Young Sale!

There was a really big event in early September, wasn't there? It was the Olive Young Sale!

I also had a busy time, just like someone working at an Olive Young store.

 

Since I knew the sale dates in advance, I think I gradually added items to my cart starting almost a month in advance and placed the order as soon as the Olive Young sale began haha.

 

Today, I’m going to introduce you to some of the products I bought during this sale, including the ones I recommend, the ones that were a bit underwhelming, and even the ones that I personally found a little disappointing!

 

I will be introducing these three products today! I will proceed in the order of items I don't recommend, items that are just okay, and items I recommend.

 

 

 

 

Items not recommended

 

Clio Pro Eye Palette Air 20 Plum Blossom Ribbon National Heritage Agency Collaboration

 

The product I have selected as an item not to recommend is the Clio Pro Eye Palette Air 20 Maehwabit Daenggi collaboration special edition with the National Heritage Administration!

 

Unexpected, right? Haha.

It seems like this collaboration between Clio and the National Heritage Administration was a huge hot topic on various social media platforms even before its release.

Did I expect too much, too?

 

In fact, I think the packaging itself perfectly captures Korean beauty without a single flaw!

The Daenggi scrunchie that was included in the plan was also of pretty good quality, so I'm not sure if I'll use it often(?), but I was satisfied with it in my own way.

 

I thought the color scheme was also done quite well.

The really disappointing part was just one thing that was a bit of a big deal for me.

It is the two colors marked with a check mark in the photo.

 

The two colors look a bit dark in the photo, but in reality, they are slightly brighter accent colors!

I thought it was a really good color for both under-eye shading and as a point at the outer corner of the eye...

 

These two colors are Night type It turned out that way......... T_T

 

The description said to use both colors for eyes and cheeks... Of course, it may vary depending on personal preference or color, but generally speaking, I felt they were a bit too dark to use as cheeks.

Since it felt a bit of a hassle to apply to the eyes as well, I realized there were no accent colors in the palette except for the two shades.

 

 

 

It was a product where everything from the planning and composition to the packaging was really good, even more so than the color combination, but

After actually using it, I personally felt disappointed because I ended up having to use accent colors from other palettes anyway, so I am cautiously classifying the Clio Pro Eye Palette Air 20 Plum Blossom Ribbon as an item I do not recommend...😢😢

 

 

 

So-so item

 

Nine Wishes White Tone-Up Body Serum

 

Next up is the Nine Wishes White Tone-Up Body Serum!

 

I purchased this product to apply to my neck to match the color with my face, rather than to my entire body.

This is a product I've been using quite well lately!

 

Nevertheless, there is a slight sense of disappointment, so I think it is closer to a so-so item than a recommended one.

 

First of all, the texture feels quite watery, and since it spreads well without feeling thick, I thought it would be good to use on large areas.

However, I had to rub it in for a little longer to ensure complete absorption.

 

The part I found lacking while using the Nine Wishit White Tone-Up Body Serum was the 'whitening'.

This is what it looks like with only half of the back of the hand applied.

Can you see which side I applied it to?

 

The correct answer is.....only the right half is correct.

It’s not that it’s completely invisible, but rather than feeling like a very definite tone-up, it feels more like a subtle one.

I think it might leave a little to be desired for those who wanted 확실 whitening like me.

 

However, despite that, considering its light texture, non-stickiness, and comfortable feel, I think I will continue to use this Nine Wishes Tone-Up Body Serum!!

About Tone Skin Layer Fit Cushion 19 Fair

The last product I’m introducing today, and one I’ve been using a lot lately!

It is About Tone's Skin Layer Fit Cushion No. 19 Fair!

(For reference, I have combination skin.)

 

 

I have actually been using the original Hera Black Cushion, repurchasing it more than 10 times.

I was getting a bit bored, so I tried several different cushions in between, but I couldn't find the perfect fit, so I've been using only the Black Cushion ever since...

 

But while watching YouTube, I saw that a YouTuber who, just like me, said the Hera Black Cushion suited them really well, mentioned that they were also very satisfied with this About Tone Skin Layer Fit Cushion.

I was curious, so I bought it right away!

 

 

The interior looks just like the familiar look!

The cushion puff was so cute too❤️❤️

There were some comments saying it was a bit small when inserting fingers, but when I used it, three fingers fit in without any difficulty, so I used it comfortably!

 

The color came out very bright.

I compared the Hera No. 13 product I used previously with the About Tone No. 19 color I purchased this time.

Even though it's shade 19, it felt a little brighter than shade 13.

The color turned out quite bright, so it might be fine for those who naturally like bright colors, but if that isn't the case, I highly recommend testing the color before purchasing!!

 

 

Personally, since my natural skin tone is fair, I really liked the color.

 

And the part I was most satisfied with was ' coverage 'class ' vitality It was!

In terms of coverage, if I were to rate it on a scale of high, medium, and low, it would definitely fall into the high range; it covers almost everything.

I knew the staying power was good, but I’ll explain by saying that I was surprised to see my makeup still intact when I returned to my accommodation after getting soaked in the rain during a recent trip.

 

I was personally so satisfied with this product that I picked it as a recommended item for the upcoming Olive Young sale!
